Item Description
Lot of items from Hogan's Heroes star Bob Crane (1928-1978), all to the same fan who appears to have had some kind of personal connection to Crane. Lot includes Hogan's Heroes photo postcard and two envelopes; one w/Bing Crosby Productions return address and other oversized envelope marked "Photograph - Do Not Fold." Both envelopes show wear as opened and are VG to Fine. Postcard has piece of tape on back w/tape pull. Fine. 7.25x10.5" typed letter on Bing Crosby Productions letterhead is dated Dec. 10, 1965 and has been folded as mailed w/some lt. aging and paperclip mark at top left. VF. 8.5x11" typed letter on "Welcome To Stalag 13 - The Best POW Camp In World War II" letterhead is dated Oct. 26, 1966 and has been folded as mailed. Small spot of surface paper lift at top on letter on back, o/w Exc. Both have been signed in black felt tip pen by Crane. Both letters are addressed to same recipient (as are included envelopes) and date to period Crane was doing Hogan's Heroes (which began Sept. 17, 1965). Glossy 8x10-1/8" photo shows Crane as Col. Robert E. Hogan and has been inscribed/signed (again to same recipient) by Crane in black felt tip pen. Unfortunately, there is some noticeable smudging to inscription and signature and photo has some handling wear/rippling. Fine overall. A unique lot for this star forever mired in mystery due to his unsolved murder. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOAs.
