Item Description
3.5". No maker but faint union bug back stamp. This version has date above the team photo (see next lot). The 1952 Dodgers stormed through the National League regular season, winning the pennant with a record of 96-57 under manager Chuck Dressen. The Dodgers were led by a quartet of future National Baseball Hall of Famers on offense: Duke Snider (OF), Pee Wee Reese (SS), Jackie Robinson (2B - back row, third from left) and Roy Campanella (C - middle row, fifth from right). Brooklyn would take on the mighty New York Yankees in the 1952 World Series, falling just short of a championship when they lost the seventh and decisive game. Moderate scattered tiny scuffs/scratches really only seen in reflected light and when viewed closely. Remains totally bright and glossy. Fine.
