Item Description
3.5". No maker but w/union back stamp. Variety with 1953 date directly above the team photo, the other version has crossed bats at this area rather than the date (see next lot). The 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers won the National League pennant with a fantastic record of 105-49 under manager Chuck Dressen. The offense was led by the future Hall of Fame quartet of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese and Duke Snider, along with future managing great Dick Williams (and all are shown on this button). Brooklyn would go on to lose the 1953 World Series to the powerful New York Yankees ball club in six games. Glossy, Exc.
