Item Description
Lot of two, each 1.25". No maker on either. First, dated 1941, was produced with word "Champio" rather than "Champion" and also states "Bums." The other, with correct spelling, has spring pin holding ribbons (age/fade) and celluloid bat and baseball. The 1941 Dodgers won the NL pennant w/a final record of 100-54 under National Baseball HOF manager Leo Durocher. The offense was led by a quartet of future HOF'ers: Joe Medwick, Paul Waner, Pee Wee Reese and Billy Herman. Brooklyn would go on to lose the World Series to the powerful New York Yankees club. Buttons are glossy, Exc.
