Item Description
1-3/8" solid brass medallion w/flat reverse. Front is enameled w/baseball design and text. Back engraved w/manufacturer's mark "Lambert Bros. Makers New York." These were issued in custom cases printed with that recipient's name. Very limited production piece given to players and VIP's. This amazing relic represents just one of many baseball treasures that were produced for this historic 50th Anniversary season for the National League. The 1925 season saw the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Senators as regular season champions of the National League and American League, respectively. The Pirates then defeated the Senators in the World Series, four games to three. Tiny trace of luster wear but overall a bright gold appearance and Exc. Very few of these have come up for auction.
