Item Description
1.75". From an event in Chicago held on October 19, 1962. These were worn by spectators to the midterm campaign event. This event was held in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which lasted Oct. 16-29, and is seen as the closest the world came to nuclear armageddon. These buttons were worn as part of a rosette badge, typically by female supporters. A few tiny light brown specks under the "H" in "John" otherwise only light surface wear. Extremely Fine. An interesting button worn during one of the most tense moments in American history.
