Item Description
8" long. Silk. Features a three quarter portrait of the Great Compromiser surrounded by a wreath w/the text "The People's Choice" below. At the bottom is the name of his running mate in 1844, Theodore Frelinghuysen. Ribbon has scattered vertical pulls, most notably along the right side, as well as some fraying on the top and bottom edges. Otherwise, moderate surface wear and handling, as well as some even age toning and fading in "Frelinghuysen". Retains strong contrast. VG. This "High Street Ward" is unlisted in Sullivan/Fischer.
