Item Description
19x31" professionally framed display featuring 6x12" license plates each with bold numeral "1" at center and an 11x14" color photo of Reagan and wife, Nancy, waving to the crowd from limo bearing clearly identifiable identical license plate on front bumper. The Inaugural committee had multiple sets, thought to be ten or less, of these plates produced for the President to give as gifts to members of his inner circle with the set used on Reagan's limo residing at the Presidential Library. This set was given to a White House employee following the event. Only five individual number "1" plates were known to advanced Inaugural license plate collectors with this pair bringing that total to seven. Plates both have original weatherproof coating that gives the white areas a tan tone and some streaking as originally applied. Essentially Mint as issued. An impressive display matching the historical significance of the artifacts that mark the beginning of the Reagan presidential era.
