2x6x3" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key comes in box w/nicely illustrated paper label on the lid. 1950s marked "Japan." Label features illustration of a pair of angry and disheveled roosters engaged in battle. Box is Exc. Toy has same basic design to that of boxers and Maggie and Jiggs, consists of two-wheeled platforms connected by a flexible metal bar. Atop each is a different colored rooster. Wheels feature portraits of cat and rabbit. Toy works and wheels side to side as it bows at the center so the roosters appear to be pecking each other. Body of white rooster has scattered pinpoint paint nicks as produced. Glossy and Exc. Unusual windup.
