Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1964 Topps Stand-Ups set consists of 77 cards. The blank-backed and unnumbered cards were the first since the All-Star sets of 1951 to be die-cut. Each one features a full action pose of a player set against a yellow and green background (with the top half yellow and bearing folding instructions; when the figure is "punched out," it allows the item to stand freely with a green base). This feature, along with the flush-to-the-border design of the set, makes finding these unusual and excessively fragile cards in high grade especially difficult. Of the 77 cards, 22 were single-printed, making them twice as scarce.

Sanford Koufax was an American former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played his entire career for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966. He has been hailed as one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history. Some of his career highlights include being a seven time All-Star, four time World Series Champion, three time Cy Young award winner, league MVP in 1963, and four career no-hitters, one of those being a perfect game. Sandy Koufax was elected to the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1972.
