Item Description
5" overall. Brass hanger has the Massachusetts state seal on it w/cardboard designation insert reading "15th District of Massachusetts". Ribbon has text reading "Democratic National Convention, New York 1924" and is attached to a teapot-shaped medal. The gold application lettering on the ribbon is almost completely removed and the text is difficult to read. Otherwise ribbon has a horizontal pull just below "Democratic" and some even age toning and wear. Teapot medal, a reference to the Teapot Dome Scandal of the Harding Administration, as well as the brass hanger, have moderate wear and handling. VF. Unfortunately for the Democrats, John W. Davis received only 24% of the vote in Massachusetts and was defeated handily by Calvin Coolidge.
