Auction 191 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 954 in auction 191
Item Description
Wonderful graphic portrait of youngster exposing missing teeth by smile between exaggerated ears. Portraits strongly suggest likeness of MAD Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman of later generations. About the fourth example we've seen and the first we've been able to offer in 5 years. Example has no backpaper but neither did the three other examples we've come across. Celluloid has very trivial surface wear only seen under magnification. Button has perfect original bright color, no fading, perfect centering and high gloss. An outstanding example of one of the most desirable product advertising buttons ever made. Early 1900s. Rare.
