Item Description
7x9.25" on thick paper. Federal Bureau of Investigation letterhead. Dated March 22, 1941. Addressed to "Mr. James Bowering, Jr., City Marshal, Rochester, New Hampshire." Watermark seen when held up to light. Hoover's letter is a response to Bowering's high praise of a film produced by the FBI for officer training. Hoover's signature written at bottom of the letter w/ text reading
"With best wishes and kind regards, Sincerely yours". Horizontal fold in middle of page, otherwise a diagonal crease in upper and lower right corners and light surface and edge wear. Extremely Fine. Comes w/ JSA COA and Hake's COA.
