Item Description
2-1/8x3". Features a three quarter portrait of the famous Union general. Some moderate wear and luster loss on the reverse. On the back there is about a .75" opening in which braided human hair can be seen. Hair lockets were a common item in which the human hair of a loved one, living or dead, was inserted into a locket as a way of showing a close connection to that person. Front of frame and ferro have only light surface wear. Photo retains bold contrast. Extremely Fine.
