Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1960 Topps Baseball set consists of an astonishing 572 cards. The cards are best remembered for their horizontal design and sun-drenched hues with a large color portrait or pose at the right two-thirds and a black-and-white action photograph at the left. The set was issued in three series (with the final series, #'s 507-572, being the most difficult to secure). Notable variations include cards #375-440, which can be found with backs printed on either white or grey cardboard, with the white stock being less common.

Roger Eugene Maris  was an American professional baseball right fielder who played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is best known for setting a new MLB single-season home run record with 61 home runs in 1961. The record remained unbroken until 1998 and remained the American League (AL) record until Aaron Judge broke it in 2022. Some other career highlights include being a seven time All-Star, three time World Series Champion and a two time MVP. The New York Yankees retired his number "9" and he is enshrined in their Monument Park.
