Item Description
Each button is 7/8" dia. On the left is 1896 lapel stud, which has three tiny holes on back as designed. Front rim text reads "Fitzsimmons - High Admiral Cigarettes," making this possibly the first boxing-related give-away advertising premium. A couple pale tiny age marks but high gloss and VF. Rare. Second is c. 1896 pin-back w/W&H back paper and his name only on front. Long hairline crack runs across his body and buttons show tiny traces of aging but still displays well. VG. Rare. Third is c. 1897 after his fight w/James Corbett. Pepsin Gum back paper. Front reads "Robt. Fitzsimmons, Champion Fighter Of The World." From an 1897 W&H set of famous people of the era. NM. Scarce. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
