Item Description
Kit No. 461-98. ©1963 Universal Pictures Co., Inc. This is an original second issue box. Production of the original issue of the Hunchback box (see previous lot for first issue box) was halted in 1965 after objections were raised by actor Anthony Quinn, who complained the box art bore a definite likeness to his portrayal of the character in the 1956 film. The art was replaced w/this modified art featuring the Hunchback w/shaggier hair. Shrinkwrap has trace corner tip wear and box remains tightly sealed. Crease on box top at right and extends around edge to side panel edge. Original price sticker on one end of box. Box still displays Fine. Factory-sealed with unused contents. High grade example.
