Item Description
This is an amazing 4"dia. celluloid with an incredibly detailed scene on hand tinted photographic paper so there is no dot screen. Images are small due to the scope and grandeur of the scene, but amazingly detailed from a throng of strollers on the boardwalk at lower right edge to the ring master and bare back horse rider at lower left and up to the high sky with female (in a skirt it seems) holding parasol on the high wire stretching from upper left to the small top center red heart. The recectangle across the heart reads "Luna Park" but it takes sharp, close focus (a magnifier for most people) to read the lettering on the red heart above and below the the "Luna Park" rectangle that says:  "The Heart Of Coney Isl'd". The reverse black cardboard back for some reason has three sets of brass prongs not really serving any purpose plus two small slots designed to hold ends of an easel wire, although wire would be at back bottom right, not centered at the top. NM cello w/mirror-like gloss. One known to us. An amazing early Coney Island souvenir.
