Item Description
5" tall figure made of unknown blend of resin-like materials. 1946 Fawcett premium by Kerr Company, who also made larger plastic "statuette" figures of this character as well as Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel (see following lot) and Hoppy the Marvel Bunny. Figure has incised "Capt. Marvel Jr." name on front of base w/incised Fawcett copyright on back. Kerr decal on underside shows wear w/large flake; decal being approx. 70% complete. While a number of these have surfaced over the past few years, this example is in choice, NM condition and is much nicer than these figures are typically found. Comes w/5.25x14.75x6-7/8" tall cardboard shipping carton that originally held a dozen Kerr Marvel figures. Box is complete w/cardboard inserts has bears Kerr company name on both main panels, one having large "Captain" notation in black marker. Box was opened along bottom, which had clear tape added at one point. Top remains factory-sealed w/original paper tape and displays as such. Carton is evenly aged and VF overall.
