Item Description
3.5" wide. Top of box has text reading "General Pakenham's Death". Pakenham was an officer in the British Army who was killed on January 8, 1815. This scene shows cannons being fired in the foreground w/Pakenham fallen from his horse in the center. Moderate edge wear and some chipping. Image has moderate even age toning. Scattered crazing seen in reflected light. Fine.  A fine artifact of the important battle from the War of 1812 that elevated Andrew Jackson as a national war hero.
