3x5.5". Lacquered stogie case. Text on sides "Charge/Of Cap: May." General Zachary Taylor's commander Captain Charles May led the famed cavalry charge of May 9, 1846 in the battle of Resaca de la Palma forcing Mexican artillery and troops out of Texas. Detailed cavalry attack w/drawn swords charging into enemy fire. A few scattered cracks, most notably a diagonal crack in the upper right corner that makes its way onto the very right edge of the battle scene. Otherwise moderate surface wear and handling. VG.
