Item Description
9" long on stiff paper. 1894. "People's Party Will Elect A Congress To Represent The People And Not Wall Street." Reverse has ad for "The Chicago Searchlight" newspaper w/offer to sell "Coxey's Badge On Ribbon" for 25 cents. Coxey was arrested for trespassing after walking on the US Capitol lawn during his famed labor rights march in 1894. Ribbon has scattered creasing, most notably along the bottom, as well as some scattered staining and adhesive marks in the upper corners. Moderate surface wear and handling. Fine. Portrait pin is missing back pin, otherwise only light surface wear. Extremely Fine. "Coxey's Army" stud has scattered faint spotting. Extremely Fine. An interesting labor grouping.
