Item Description
The 1960 Topps Baseball set consists of an astonishing 572 cards. The cards are best remembered for their horizontal design and sun-drenched hues with a large color portrait or pose at the right two-thirds and a black-and-white action photograph at the left. The set was issued in three series (with the final series, #'s 507-572, being the most difficult to secure). Roberto Clemente is one of the major key cards in this set. Some of his many career highlights include being a 15 time All-Star, a 12 time Gold Glove winner, two time Worlds Series Champion and an NL MVP in 1966. After his early death, he was posthumously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973, becoming both the first Caribbean and the first Latin-American player to be enshrined.
