Item Description
13x13" matted w/8x9" opening. From an extract dated October 23, 1900. Flyer begins w/the prayers for health and wellness for William McKinley, for fear that an untimely death would lead to the ascension of Teddy Roosevelt to the presidency. A caricature of Roosevelt is pictured beside the article, w/TR looking like a wild-eyed and deranged gunslinger. The extract was dated about one month before the 1900 election. Flyer has scattered creasing and moderate surface wear and handling. VF. Not examined outside of matting. Ex- Peter Scanlan Collection.
