Item Description
6" long. Date on blade reads "May 1/July 3, 1898." Image of battleship is unidentified but believed to be USS Iowa as she was the first to sight the Spanish ships approaching and fired the first shot in the battle of Santiago. 5.5" blade. Manufactured by Wade & Butcher Sheffield England as noted on blade. Handle appears to be bone or horn. 1/8" surface hairline by one rivet. Blade has tiny scattered roughness. Overall Fine.
