Item Description
American Softworks Corp. game cartridge. Developed by Beam Software under supervision from Nintendo, until the latter disowned the production of the game, and it ended up being published by American Softworks Corp. While this game was called Power Punch II, there was no Power Punch I for Nintendo's NES or any other video game console. Hoping to recapture the wild success of Punch-Out!!, the game was originally intended to feature heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson as the protagonist w/plans to title the game Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch, but was ultimately changed in part due to Tyson's mounting legal issues at the time.
