Item Description
3.5x6x2.25" tall tin litho toy comes in box w/illustrated lid. c. 1950s by Cragstan/Yanoman, Japan. Box has moderate dust soiling, dented corner at top left but remains tight. Fine. The space tank is marked on each side "Mars Patrol" and on the tail fins "No. 17." Has a domed cover on the cockpit which rotates to reveal spaceman on inside behind control panel. Complete w/separate wire antenna that attaches to the back. Has working friction mechanism and as it travels forward, the cockpit dome rapidly spins. Minute scattered pinpoint paint nicks as produced. Exc. Great design.
