Item Description
4.5x4.75x1.75" high elaborate hinged case. Trylon and perisphere logo appears on top. Light wear to outside case top and snap. Inside case lid reads "Remington Close Shaver Made In USA." Velvet-covered insert holds 4.25" electric razor with image and text reading "New York World's Fair 1939/Electric Products Building Remington Rand Hall." Razor shows light wear but complete with cord and blade cover. Cord is held together with brushed metal band having the same text and image as the razor. A very elaborate presentation. Also includes 8-page instruction book titled "Things You Should Know About Shaving." All of this comes in an original two-piece generic box with light dust soiling. VF. The first electric razor was made in 1928. The first Remington in 1937. This is an early Remington. NM. Rare. Only one we've ever offered. From the Hake collection.
