3.25x4.25". c. 1860s. Soldier seen grasping bayonetted musket in one hand and holding on to the US flag in the other. Flag is lightly tinted with red and blue accents. Gold accents appear on stars and belt buckle. Photographer's painted battle scene backdrop appears behind. Photo was found in Daulphin County, Pennsylvania. Mounted in a quarter plate mat with glass cover. One small dent in the image. Quite crisp and clear. Fine.
