Adult-sized Athleta Pelé jersey (w/stitched Athleta collar tag) featuring the embroidered crest of the Brazilian Sports Confederation (CBD) has been boldly signed by soccer legend Pelé (1940-2022). Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he was labeled "the greatest" by FIFA. He was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century and was named Athlete of the Century in 1999 by the International Olympic Committee. His 1,279 goals in 1,363 games is recognized as a Guinness World Record. Pelé has signed in black felt tip pen, inscribed "To Paul - Good Luck - Pelé." Back of jersey has also been signed. Jersey was obtained and signed at Halcyon Galleries' Pelé: Art, Life, Football exhibition, held in 2015 in recognition of Pelé's 75th Birthday. Jersey is NM and comes w/original gallery-issued box w/tissue packing paper w/event exclusive bag. Many signed jerseys have come to the market since Pelé's death, but very few of them have been signed both on front and back. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
