Item Description
2.5x3-1/8". The 1939 Play Ball set consists of 161 cards (though card #126 was never issued). Each item featured quality likenesses of the respective ballplayer printed in black-and-white and were larger than the majority of previous tobacco issues. Joe Dimaggio is one of the major keys in this set and this particular card has very nice eye appeal. Some of his career highlights include being a 13 time All-Star, a nine time World Series Champion, a three time MVP and holds the all time record with a 56 game hitting streak. Joe Dimaggio was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1955.
