Item Description
Pair of early pulps, 4.5x6-7/8" "The Pocket Magazine" w/136 pages. Published monthly by Frederick A. Stokes Co. in Nov. 1895. Book is all text, no illustrations. 55-page story "How The Brigadier Came To The Castle Of Gloom" by Arthur Conan Doyle. Also included is piece by Rudyard Kipling. Lt. corner tip wear, .75" spine split at bottom w/1/8" chip. One page has a 1" tear, off-white in color but all pages are complete and intact. 2.5" area of lt. inking at top of book. VF. "The Cosmopolitan" Vol. 28 #2, Dec. 1899 is 6.75x9-5/8" features 11-page story "The Crime Of The Brigadier" by Doyle. Also has several pages of fine illustrations and several pages featuring great early ads w/several featuring Santa Claus. Cover has some moderate tanning, 1.25" spine split at top, .75" chip which is still attached. Spine has a .5" chip which is still attached. Cover is about Fine, pages are white to off-white and VF to Exc.
