Item Description
4x5.25x12.5" original illustrated cardboard box contains 11.25" long tin litho battery-operated car. Gilbert. ©1965 Glidrose Productions, Ltd./Eon Productions, Ltd. Box graphics depict foe being ejected through roof of car. Box missing inserts. Box has scattered aging/wear w/tape repaired tear on lid top panel (taped on inside). Small surface paper tear on one end from price sticker. Staining on box bottom. VG. This licensed version has tagline "As Seen In 'Goldfinger' And 'Thunderball'." Car includes seven action features - "Bullet-Proof Shield Goes Up And Down, Hidden Machine Guns Extend And Light Up With Machine Gun Sound, Crash Bumpers Extend And Retract, Start And Stops Automatically, Front Wheels Steer, License Plates Revolve, Push Button Ejection Seat Throws Enemy 'Through Roof Top'." Car functioned as made when tested but license plate did not revolve and no gun sound. Ejector figure has painted hair w/shoulders and replaced metal stem that holds him in car and he does eject. Car itself displays VF. A classic James Bond toy.
