Item Description
Pair of 6.5x9.25" pulps. Vol. 18 #8, Sept. 1931. Has cover art by Senf showing Tam, Son of the Tiger w/sword attempting to rescue pretty girl who is being kidnapped by three-armed ghoul w/large sceptor and skeleton head club. Authors include Quinn, Smith, Kline, Derleth. There is a Solomon Kane story by Robert E. Howard. Front cover is heavily creased, 1.25" split at top of spine and 1" split at bottom of spine near cover edge. Back cover has bit of lt. creasing and dust soiling. Two .25" tan spots at bottom of title page o/w insides are clean and tight. Pages are cream-colored but still somewhat supple. Overall covers are Good to VG, pages are Fine. Vol. 20 #3, Sept. 1932. First Brundage cover for Weird Tales has scantily clad blonde about to be sacrificed by man wearing turban. Front cover has strips of clear tape around margin edges which have yellowed and extends around spine onto .75" top right corner and 3-1/8" lower right of back cover. Front cover has tape on area of about two-thirds of cover edges. First ad page and second contents page each have a .25x1" strip of yellowed clear tape at upper right corner. Covers have numerous lt. handling creases, heavy dust soiling on back cover. Overall Good to VG. Contains stories by Derleth, Smith, Long plus poem by Howard.
