Item Description
Pair of 7x9.75" pulps w/132 pages. First issue is "Cosmic Stories" Vol. 1 #1 published bi-monthly by Albing Publications in March 1941. Features story by Isaac Asimov. Has moderate handling wear, chipping to cover overlap. .25" spine split at bottom back cover, 1.5" spine split at top front cover. Pages are cream-colored w/dark cream margins. Back cover has .25x1" area of soiling. Fine. Second issue is "Startling Stories" Vol. 1 #1 published bi-monthly by Better Publications Inc. in Jan. 1939. "Albert Einstein-His Life Story Told In Pictures!" has great cover set in laboratory w/giant robot attacking man and woman in glass jars w/laser eye beams. Cover has some .5" tears to bottom margin and a small .5x1/16" segment of chipping at bottom cover overlap. Very lt. handling, pages are cream-colored w/darker cream margins but supple. VF.
