Item Description
7.5" long. Silk. Features an obelisk w/ the nativist martyr George Shifler on the front of it. Shifler was a Protestant who was allegedly killed by an Irish Catholic during the Philadelphia riots of 1844. He quickly became a martyr of the anti-Catholic movement during this period. Ribbon has scattered light surface wear and handling and some faint edge staining. VF.
