Item Description
1-5/8" brass plated white metal fob with inset superb color 1.25" celluloid showing a watermelon cut in two to illustrate the company slogan. Back edge has Whitehead & Hoag maker's name. The reverse has raised portrait of founder whose farm implement dealership led to manufacture of tractors, manure spreaders and harrow carts-plus automobiles in 1910 with acquisition of large interest in the Maytag- Mason Motor Car Co. Text around Galloway in his derby hat reads "Good Morning, How Are You ?/Deal With Me/I'll Treat You Square/Your Friend At Waterloo/Wm. Galloway/The Farmer's Manufacturer". Tiny wear on reverse and some black color off apparent original strap. The fob overall remains Exc. and is rare.
