Item Description
Gorgeous color scene of young boy bursting through a paper target and proudly holding his Daisy rifle. The rifle carries the word "Daisy" in tiny text on its side. Below the scene are the words "Trade Mark" and lower rim reads "Daisy M'F'G. Co." On extreme lower edge, mostly on the curl is "Plymouth, Mich. U.S.A." There are small defects: W&H back paper (used only 1898-99) has moderate age and tiny 1/16" bottom edge tear, also on reverse there is a narrow cello split by collet from 12-3 o'clock, on the front the white target circle has four areas with slight darkening, the design is about 1/32" off center to lower right and seen only on the closest viewing or under magnification the cello surface has scuff scratches on his lower shirt and one light scratch a bit longer crossing his chin. There are five pinpoint indents in the cello but the only one just barely visible to naked eye near his nose tip. The button retains its great color and overall gloss. Our last back in our July 2013 auction was also stained. This is one of those great buttons that rarely is offered and this example is very attractive and Fine overall. Rare.
