Item Description
Numbers 1-4 and 6 through 25, each a 15/16" celluloid button by Parisian Nov. Co. Chicago. Each has back paper with text "Drink/Coca-Cola/Trade Mark" logo lettering, the name of a specific fighting unit and a numeral designating the button's number in the set of 25. Only button #5 is missing: Fighting Squadron 72/(VF-72). The fronts have detailed, colorful artwork of the insignia. These were issued early to mid 1940s and are noted for their scarcity, especially compared to the Kellogg's Pep cereal set of 36 litho insignia buttons. In fact, this is as close to a complete set as we've ever offered. Among the specific units are: 9 Bombardment Squadrons, 3 Pursuit Sq., 2 Torpedo Sq., 2 Patrol Sq., others and #18 is a place insignia, not a unit, named on back paper as U S Naval Air Station Pensacola. Outstanding NM condition both front and back.
