SCOPE stood for "Summer Community Organization & Political Education" the 1965-66 summer project across six southern states building community organizations led by African Americans to register voters. Scattered light brown spotting in background. Fine. Litho at bottom features logo of the SCLC Chicago Freedom Movement, the first civil rights action the group took in the North.
