Item Description
3-3/8X5.5". Features youthful portrait of JFK in his first run for Congress in 1946. This is a pre-primary card in his successful bid for the MA 11th District in Congress. Primary held on June 18, 1946. Reverse features short text highlighting why Kennedy is the right candidate for the job, listing him as "an alert and capable young man, well qualified to represent the district." Faint vertical crease along top edge on right side that is barely seen. Otherwise some slight even aging and light edge wear and handling. Extremely Fine. One of the earliest JFK campaign artifacts. John Hillhouse Collection.
