Item Description
7" long. Silk. Features portraits of the 1844 Democratic ticket w/text at top reading "Democracy And Our Country" w/additional text at bottom "Texas and No Bank". Francis Shunk was the Democratic candidate for Governor of PA. All named on the ribbon won their respective elections. Area of loss at the top right corner, as well as some scattered tiny holes and areas of thinness. Slight even aging. Fine. Rare. A highly desirable Polk campaign item. John Hillhouse Collection.
