Item Description
Each is a 13/16" numbered litho by Green Duck but we've not determined how distributed or by whom. Each highlights an airplane or pilot against color background. The first two buttons are captioned "Early Plane 'Pusher' Type" and "Dr. Rumpler's Taube German 1911." Other famous planes and pilots include: Van Richthofen's Fighter, Ford Tri-motor, Douglas DC-2, Navy "Hell Diver", Wiley Post's "Winnie Mae", Famed Wright Bros' "Pusher Plane" as well as portraits of Orville Wright, Glenn Curtiss, Eddie Rickenbacker, Charles Lindbergh, Capt. Frank Hawks, Jimmy Mattern, Roscoe Turner, Howard Hughes, and the set concludes with five female pilots, Amelia Earhart Putnam being #70. For a full list see Buttons In Sets book. About six have some wear but are Fine and vast majority are Exc. or better. See other aviation and WWII related button sets by Coca-Cola and Kellogg's Pep cereal lots #1272-1276.
