Item Description
2-5/8" tall oval button w/tin covered reverse plus a raised slot holding horizontal bar pin. One of the best and most popular buttons of the 1908 campaign. Slogans read top to bottom "Our Standard Bearer: The Nation's Commoner/William Jennings Bryan/Two Of America's Great Essentials To Peace And Prosperity/Known The World Over." Tiny text on one of the corn husks reads "From Mr. Bryan's Fairview Farm." Light scattered surface wear, most notably some trivial and faint spotting along the outer edges mentioned only for extreme accuracy. Still Exc. John Hillhouse Collection.
