Item Description
15x21" newspaper. Dated Monday, October 29, 1832. Features Jackson-Van Buren ballot along upper left side. Ballot shows image of an eagle at the top w/the names of Jackson's electors at the bottom. Middle of the ballot features quotes from Jefferson, Madison, Clay, and others lauding the leadership and achievements of Jackson. Slight even age toning and moderate edge wear, most notably along the top edge. VF. Jackson went on to win the election in a landslide, but came in an underwhelming third place in VT, behind Anti-Mason William Wirt and National Republican Henry Clay.
