Item Description
8x12.5x1-7/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated contains 6.5" long replica of detective pistol in bright silver finish luster over white metal plus dark brown marbled/textured plastic grips. ©1960 Mattel. Bottom of box is tight. Lid has lt. aging/wear. VF, Gun is designed for holding toy bullets and firing single Greenie Stik-M-Caps as cylinder rotates when trigger is pulled. Raised "Shootin' Shell Snub-Nose .38" text on left-hand side, right-hand side has Mattel name and logo on grip. Gun is unused. VF/Exc. Comes w/supple vinyl shoulder holster measuring 13.5" tall to top of shoulder strap and six complete "Shootin' Shells" and six extra plastic bullet tips. VF. Comes w/original instruction sheet and two unused 7x11" "Pistol Range Targets" w/perforated stand flaps at bottom. Targets have even moderate aging and are Fine/VF while instructions are Exc. Set also includes vinyl wallet w/"MDS - Mattel Detective Squad" ID card and 2-1/8" tall "Private Detective" plastic badge still sealed in bag and staples to box as issued. Exc. As nice as you will find in old store stock quality.
