Item Description
1.25" w/metal back. Features profile portrait of the labor leader w/text above reading "Not Guilty". Button pertains to the trial and acquittal of Haywood after his implication in the assassination of former Idaho Governor Frank Steunenberg. Haywood and two other WFM leaders were extradited to Idaho to stand trial for their alleged role in the crime. Famed lawyer Clarence Darrow was the defense attorney on the case and Haywood and the others were acquitted. Faint scattered stained along the edges, most notably between 9 and 10 o'clock. Otherwise moderate surface wear in reflected light. VG. A seldom offered and important labor pin.
