7/8x3-7/8" clipped signature portion of bank check includes black ink signature of Orville Wright (1871-1948), of the world famous aviation pioneers the Wright Brothers, who are generally credited w/inventing, building and flying the world's first successful motor-operated airplane. They made the first controlled, sustained flight of a powered, heavier-than-air aircraft w/the Wright Flyer on Dec. 17, 1903, south of Kitty Hawk, NC, at what is now known as Kill Devil Hills. Orville was the pilot of that first flight and is seen at the controls of the Wright Flyer in included photo print. Signature is Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
