Item Description
7/8" w/W&H back paper. Vauclain was a railroad executive, inventor, leading expert on locomotive design and delegate from Pennsylvania's 7th District to the 1920 Republican National Convention where he was pushed as a "favorite son" candidate. Governor William Sproul ultimately received Pennsylvania's votes on the first ballot at the convention, before Harding eventually received the nomination. A touch off-center, otherwise only minor wear. Exc. as made. Larry Brokofsky Collection.
