Item Description
Large 14.5x18.25x5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains all plastic assembly kit No. 470, ©1964 Universal Pictures Company Inc. Box design includes large portrait image of Frankenstein as portrayed by Glenn Strange plus photos of model being assembled and put into action. Box notes assembled model is almost two feet tall w/arms that move up and down. Moderate scattered handling wear w/edge creases, surface scratches, three small spots of surface paper loss where tape pulled and corner w/1" split/bump and surface paper tear. Displays VG overall. Frankenstein comes w/headstone piece and chain which attaches to this. Parts are black/light and dark gray plastic, 20 chain links in bronze/copper plastic. Kit comes w/lightly aged instruction sheet. Fine. Kit has paintbrush but is missing paints. Pieces all loose but appear complete. Chain parts, neck bolts and button have been removed from included sprue and original bag. Other pieces have been removed from bags as well. Kit is o/w unused and VF/Exc. overall. The largest figure kit Aurora ever released, it was designed by Marvin Glass who also designed Mr. Machine, Mousetrap and the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots among others. Affectionately referred to in the hobby as "Big Frankie".
